Affiliate Disclosure

Last updated: June 2026

The Glow Council is reader-supported. We may earn commissions through affiliate partnerships, and we believe in being upfront about exactly how that works.

How affiliate links work

We partner with brands and retailers through affiliate programs and networks. When you click one of our affiliate links and make a purchase, the retailer may pay us a small commission. This comes out of the retailer's margin, not your pocket, you never pay more because you used our link.

How we label them

Most of our affiliate links appear in our emails and articles. In keeping with FTC guidelines, we disclose the affiliate relationship clearly and in plain language right where the links appear, usually a short note such as "Contains affiliate links, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you." We never hide, cloak, or disguise affiliate links.

Our editorial independence

Commissions never decide our recommendations. We choose and rank products based on our own research and judgment. We are not paid by the brands we feature to give a positive review, and earning a commission does not change our opinion of a product. Our recommendations are based on the ingredients and the evidence.

We are not the seller

The Glow Council does not sell products directly. All purchases, payments, shipping, returns, and customer service are handled by the retailer. Prices and availability are set by the retailer and can change at any time, always confirm the current details on the retailer's site before buying.

Not professional advice

Our content is for general information only and is not medical or dermatological advice. Patch-test new products and consult a qualified professional for any skin concern.
